About Me:

Rose Garland Widell is a successful graduate from the school of hard knocks. Raised for 11 years in the US foster care system, Rose beat the statistics, graduated with her B.A. from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and went for her Masters.

With over 500 articles on the web (and many tens of thousands which were edited), Rose is an enthusiastic writer and editor.  She has been published in many important print journals, online newspapers and catalogs, and in several anthologies.

    Wow, if you went to Michigan then you really DID beat the odds. I graduated from Michigan Law a couple years ago…an excellent school, and I absolutely loved it there. You have some fantastic blog posts that I completely agree with. You explain being a private person and an introvert very well and succinctly. Bookmarking your blog!

    Hail Ren! You just made my day with this sweet comment! Few people (who haven’t gone of course) get how hard the University of Michigan was and is – not only is it a great (but very difficult) school, but I had had spotty school attendance from Kindergarten to 7th grade! So, thank you, fellow Victor! ;) You really made my day.
