I had one of those moments last night. The kind that come occasionally, where you’re awed by the good things in life.
I was watching my sweetheart pull out presents that he had stored away that we could give for Christmas. I felt so much love for him as I watched him plan who will get what, and wonder if they’d be happy with these gifts bought a long time ago.
Money is tight right now, but it will get better. He was so earnest and loving looking at these gifts that my eyes teared up.
After he left the room I thought of how much I love this man. I thought of how grateful I am for all the awesome people in my life. I have a wonderful best friend, close friends, family, and now future in-laws. I am blessed by having a roof over my head, food to eat, and furry cats to chase the blues away. I have a great new job, that I’m happy in. I have new friends online, and a blog that I write with the intention of helping others, in some way. And I have an amazing and wonderful man in my life.
Last night I truly felt true gratitude. Although I try to count my blessings, it’s not every day when you really see them so clearly. I’m so thankful for all the good and great things in my life.
And I’m thankful and grateful and happy with those of you who read my blog.
