Gradual Changes

Hello readers!

Back again, and am still in a super creative place mentally.  Right now, based on the materials I have on hand, I’m thinking of making one of these two new projects (not exactly these, because they’re someone else’s designs, but something along these lines).  They look pretty fun, right?

(sorry I can’t source the pics – I often collect pic ideas, not usually expecting to share them with anyone.)

I’ve been thinking lately about how we can change gradually sometimes, and not even notice it – kinda like those clever owls made from river rocks!

Like me…   I have a healthy new habit that I’ve been doing on and off, but mostly on, for the past 3 years I want to say… exercising.  Right now, when I’m very stressed, I go for 2 mile power walks.  When I was younger, I was terrible at gym class, so didn’t think much of exercise.  Now that I don’t have any pressure, I love it!

And I love that I can change it up – for a while I do power walks, other times I do aerobics, and a couple months ago I was big into Dance, Dance Revolution – LOL.  The only thing that remains the same, is that if someone offers to exercise with me, I suddenly can no longer do it.  (But, offer to craft with me, and you’ll never see the back of me.)

I’ve also decided to make a dramatic career change into Sales.  Although I have no experience in the field, and I’m much, much shyer than I come across sometimes, I think I’m going to do great at it.  Now, if the right person will just give me a shot….

Saw a BEAUTIFUL work of beaded art yesterday.  A group of women in Africa had beaded a gorgeous picture and logo.  As soon as I got home, I attempted to use the same technique to bead a cat onto a thank you card… I was much less successful that they were!  (It still turned out beautifully, but the paper warped pretty bad… how did they get around it on such a big piece?)

Anyway, if you like my comics, I’ve also been making really cute thank you cards.  I don’t have any to show you today, because I sent them out already, but I’ll try to post some later on this week as I make more.

In closing, I want to share with you a recent pic I took this week for an ‘informal interview,’ so you see what I look like these days.

I love your emails you guys – please keep sending them!

All love and appreciation,

Rosie
