Laugh anyway…

The one gift my birth Mom gave me, was her smile.  Her smile, even when she was missing teeth, would light up the whole room. And she smiled at everyone!

Me, following my Mom's example. :)

The older I get, and the more sad things I see, the more I value just enjoying what I have, and what I am in the present moment.

I could argue whether life is a gift, but it is what we have to work with. I like all the platitudes that say, “Don’t look back, only look forward,” but they’re not very realistic.  Yesterday will always have an impact on today – even if it’s not your yesterday.

So laugh when you’re angry, and smile when you’re not in the mood. Not in an attempt to be false, but laugh because – being angry IS funny, and smiling usually feels better than frowning.

The best part about laughing or smiling is that someone else will usually join in.  Sure, life is hard.. but… laugh anyway. Smile anyway.

Maybe you’ll just make someone else’s day better!
